Obby Oss Festival

The Obby Oss festival is a traditional celebration that takes place annually on May Day in Padstow, a small fishing town on the north coast of Cornwall. The festival has been held for centuries and is deeply rooted in local folklore and culture.

The highlight of the festival is the appearance of the "obby oss," which is a stylised horse made from a wooden frame and decorated with ribbons and flowers. The obby oss is accompanied by a group of dancers who follow it through the streets of Padstow, singing and playing traditional music. Boardmasters 2024

7 - 11 August 2024

Boardmasters is one of Cornwall's most famous festivals and attracts visitors from all over the world. Set across two stunning sites in the lively and picturesque coastal town of Newquay, the festival brings together like-minded souls with a love of music, surfing, well-being and the outdoors.

Over 200 artists play across 12 stages up at Watergate Bay. From international headliners through to breaking acts, the bill is an eclectic mix of genres. Headliners this year include Sam Fender, Chase & Status and Stormzy.

St Ives September Festival 2024

St Ives is worth exploring at any time of the year. But it’s really worth exploring during the St Ives September Festival 2024, an annual 15-day ‘extravaganza of music and the arts. Taking place between 14 and 28 September, this festival brings the pretty seaside town alive with performances, films, open studios, workshops, talks and art galore.

Visitors can enjoy live music from a variety of genres, ranging from folk and jazz to classical and world music. There are also theatre productions, comedy shows, art exhibitions, and literary events, as well as workshops and talks. It’s a great opportunity to experience the unique cultural heritage of St Ives, and to discover new art forms and talents.

Christmas in Cornwall 2024
