One Hundred Steps Photography Tour

The tour is called 100 Steps and this is because, every 100 steps, you will be encouraged to look around and take a photograph. This helps to see the world differently and also means that you will capture a unique set of photographs.

You will be lent a professional camera that will be set up in a way that will make it very easy for you (with guidance) to take great pictures.

Start at 8 am at Gavan’s studio in St Ives or, from the Carbis Bay Estate, where he will go through what to expect during the tour, show you how simple the camera is to use, and then off you go. Every 100 steps, you stop and take a picture and then repeat with Gavan giving you tips and tricks on how to take great pictures. By the end, you will have a unique set of pictures. From fishing boats, tiny alleyways, seagulls, seaweed, rocks, and other delights. And Gavan will be with you, every step of the way, guiding you, and helping you get the best picture you can.

The tour takes 3 hours and by the end, you will have a unique collection of about 50 pictures. You have lunch while Gavan uploads your pictures onto a gallery. After lunch, you will go through your pictures and talk about what you’ve learned.

Gavan has been a photographer for 30 years and knows a lot about the town so it will be a really fun and enlightening experience. It really is a great way to spend a day in St Ives, learning something new, in a beautiful part of the world.

One Hundred Steps tour price – £95.00 per person

Choose your favorite picture that you’ve taken and have it mounted. You can title the photo and sign it, a piece of art made by you.
