FAQ's

- The cold-water group session will last entirely up to an hour and thirty minutes including the talk and refreshments. You will be in the water for no more than 15 minutes on the day. Sarah Walsh will advise on the exact maximum time to be in the water depending on the temperature that day.

- Participants do not need to bring a wet-suit. To feel the full advantages of cold-water swimming it's advisable to swim in a swimsuit however, if you would feel more comfortable in a full wetsuit then please wear what you would prefer. Swim hats and tow-floats are provided on the day. If you have a dryrobe, this is recommended for after the swim but we can provide gowns otherwise.

"Absolutely fabulous! We were lucky to be on the first Coastal Wellbeing Retreat of 2024. We started with a fantastic couples massage, our choice of treatment, there were others available. A cold water swim with Sarah, Sarah educated us on the do's and dont's of sea swimming and our swim left us exhilarated for the weekend. The coffee/tea and cake afterwards was fab!

Yoga on Sunday with Kate was a perfect way to start the day.

The staff at Carbis Bay are all welcoming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, and this really adds to a relaxing stay. Food and rooms excellent.

Couldn't ask for anything more, this was our third time and each visit excels the last, we will definitely be back. Thank you Carbis Bay" Debbie, C
