Old School House

Set in mature wooded gardens, the rustic exterior of this sensitive and intuitively converted historic property conceals an opulent interior. The Old Schoolhouse is a flagship property of Carbis Bay. It has two spacious double en-suite bedrooms with vaulted chandeliered ceilings and luxury bathrooms, featuring power showers, personal bathrobes and complementary spa toiletries to help unwind and relax.

Downstairs is a spacious open plan living room with deep comfy sofas to melt into at the end of a hard-days' relaxation and dining space for up to eight people. The modern fully equipped kitchen comes with everything from state of the art espresso and cappuccino maker to dishwasher and washing machine and has direct access to a secluded patio and children's play area. All table and cookware is provided, including a picnic set for visits to our Blue Flag accredited private beach just a leisurely stroll or short drive away where you enjoy the benefit of free parking.

At the beach, the Hotel with its stunningly situated Conservatory Café Bar which serves light meals and drinks at all times, welcomes our self-catering guests for a break from the beach. You may also relax by the swimming pool (open May – September) and use our other leisure facilities. For evenings when cooking in your beautiful kitchen seems just too much like hard work, reservations can be made for our award winning Sands Restaurant and should you wish to leave your car at the Hotel overnight to fully appreciate our extensive wine list then we will be pleased to arrange a taxi home for you if required.

At The Old Schoolhouse there is a generous driveway for your car and any day guests with whom you may choose to share your oasis and the hotel will have warm breads and croissants every morning along with your choice of morning paper. The property is fitted with a comprehensive entertainment package, and wireless broadband for you to keep in touch with family, friends or work if necessary. You may also e-mail to reception with any special requests or reservations. There are high definition plasma tv's with Sky television in the lounge and master bedroom with an extensive free package of family entertainment, games and interactive services including an up to date selection of the latest box-office releases coming soon on pay-per-view. All bedding and towels are provided and additional child beds or cots available on request.

From its spectacular location set above scenic Carbis Bay, The Old Schoolhouse is perfectly situated with nearby amenities within walking distance and enjoys wonderful views of the bay and St Ives from both magnificent bedrooms. Chilled Champagne, fresh fruits and local handmade chocolates await you on arrival. Complimentary freshly ground coffee and homemade biscuits are available in the hotel conservatory cafe bar on your arrival, should you require them.

The hotel is able to make available warm breads and pastries each morning along with your preferred daily newspaper. Please order these from Reception the night before.
