The Beach
Carbis Bay, part of the larger St Ives Bay is a member of the "most beautiful bays in the world organisation" and has recently been awarded an EC blue flag for water cleanliness and covers an area of some 25 acres.
As a world heritage site it has been voted best resort in England and fourth best in the world, using factors such as beach quality, friendliness, outstanding natural beauty and Cultural activities.
Parking is available with direct access to the sandy beach. A ramp leads down to the beach and is suitable for disabled access, but because of the gradient it does not conform to the full wheelchair access requirements and supervision will be needed.
Dogs are not allowed from Easter to the end of October.

Built in 1894 by the famous Cornish architect, Sylvanus Trevail, the Carbis Bay Hotel quickly gained popularity as a result of the boom in seaside holidays.
