CARBIS BAY BEACH
CORNWALL'S ONLY HOTEL WITH ITS OWN BLUE FLAG BEACH WITH 25 ACRES OF SAFE GOLDEN SANDS
Carbis Bay, part of the larger St Ives Bay is a member of the "Most Beautiful Bays in the World Organisation" and has recently been awarded an EC blue flag for water cleanliness and covers an area of some 25 acres.As a world heritage site it has been voted best resort in England and fourth best in the world, using factors such as beach quality, friendliness, outstanding natural beauty and Cultural activities.
Parking is available with direct access to the sandy beach. A ramp leads down to the beach and is suitable for disabled access, but because of the gradient it does not conform to the full wheelchair access requirements and supervision will be needed.
Dogs are not allowed from Easter to the end of October.

OCEAN SPORTS
Ocean Sports who are situated on Carbis Bay beach throughout the summer offer a wide range of activities including Sea life Explorer, Beach Olympics, Kayak and Canoe hire for adults and children.
Informative trips looking for marine life around the beach and rock areas are great fun for children.
SEA LIFE EXPLORER
The ecological diversity of the marine inhabitants in Carbis Bay, St Ives never ceases to amaze.
Using the stable platforms of our four and six man Hawaiian canoes we take you on a magical exploration of the local coastline within the bay.
Using especially designed underwater viewers the marine life normally hidden from view springs to life with stunning clarity.
Get to meet the local seal population frequently sheltering in the coves of the bay or taking a cheeky peak closer to the beach.
Watch the seasonal march of the spider crab as they head for shallow water to find a mate. Throughout the month of May and June thousands of these amazing creatures form stacks, almost like pyramids along the beach.
BEACH OLYMPICS
Groups, youngsters and family's will be learn how to be safe on the water, the ethos is on beach safety and team work. Throughout the day you will learn how to paddle kayaks and Hawaiian canoes.
After honing your water skills attention is switched to the beach practicing the art of beach flags and beach sprints.
Young and old will compete for the prestigious Beach Olympic Crown as a team in both water (Hawaiian canoe and kayak beach regatta) and beach events culminating in the team sand walk and tug-o-war!
